Ego Space on the Web.

This is my homepage, obviously; my own little cluttered, dingy corner of the Internet. It's here because I finally got bored enough to set one up, and it's nice to have a place to ramble for the edification of the masses. Why you're here, I have no idea, though I'd like to think it's because you can't get enough of my dazzling wit and amazing insights. Which you can get right to, or if you're really bored you can jump down to the in-depth bio. Either way, thanks for stopping in.

There are a few bits of news. First, and most obvious, is the domain name change. What can I say; you would have sold out too.

Second, after years of extensive training and practice I have begun to produce my own people. You may see the first prototype on Nathaniel's picture intensive page.

The Helix experiment is over.  It was a success in that we published a lot of good fiction and learned some things.  A failure in that one of the things that we (or at least I) learned is that most people are quite willing to mooch off of others and won't chip in to support something they enjoy.

The War page is overdue, I'm afraid, but better late than never.

Here are some of my Rants. If you don't like them, well, feel free to come up with an opinion of your own. There're plenty to go around.

Perhaps I'm mellowing in my old age (heh), but I haven't been doing as much ranting lately. . . I've been writing more lengthy, thoughtful pieces. That being the case, I've decided to split some of the less rant-like bits off to their own Essay page. Even worse, I have begun to blog. You can see the result at the Grumpy Pundit site

About Me

I live here in my house, I'm older than re-united Germany (current edition), but younger than the United Nations. I have a degree in History (and continue to broaden my education in that field), read and write science fiction and fantasy, work with computers, sometimes play role playing- and war- games, and don't watch much TV. The various sub-pages will tell you more about me, depending on how much I felt like putting up that particular week. (This site is not, strictly speaking, still under construction, but it is subject to change at a moment's notice depending on my whims.)
